# Decentralization

Cascading the authority to make (E) decisions to lower levels of the organization. 

[Delegation](/adizes/wiki/delegation.md) is cascading the (P) or (A) tasks, while decentralization is cascading the decisions that need to be made. It is important to note that decentralization without control systems is synonymous with abdication.
